No Blog Post Today. Busy. Don’t Feel Like Writing

(Reading time: < 1 minute)

Despite having a massive cold last few days, I still cranked out some articles. Bully for me.

But I don’t feel like writing today. Actually, I already wrote for 90 minutes on another project, not relevant here. Yet.

Instead, I’m heading into The City to meet up with some folks at SF Entrepreneur.

Did you write today?

Why or why not?

  1. Carlos Velez says:

I wrote for others today, and narrowly avoided a strongly worded email from my mentor for procrastinating.

  2. Walter says:

I try my best to write everyday but oftentimes my brain is clogged with many things. Another hindrance is that it’s no easy to find topics to write about.. :-)

  3. Ari Herzog says:

…yet you wrote a blog post, instead of opting not to write anything. Why is that? Mine is below.

Hey, I don’t think I realized you live in SF – me, too. Very cool – I like SF, but the weather – not so much.

    Anyhoo…

Yeah, I did write today; I worked on my book. I also spent a short amount of time working on my post for this weekend – final touches. (I only post 3x a week, usually.)

As an aside, I actually quite enjoy short and sweet posts on occasion – this included. Thanks for the sweet treat!
Hope you start feeling better real soon.

    • Lori, San Fran weather can get tiresome, but I’ve lived in Indiana…

I think I like San Diego weather best.

BTW, you can find me on foursquare. I’m in the city usually every other week. Remember “EastBay” is pig-latin for “Beast.” We like it out here!

  5. Clever post this one, although you are not writing new content, you did and it’s creating comments, lesson for us all here!

Of course I have written today, I write every day!

  6. I try to write a few extra posts on weekends, so I can skip a day and still have content. I also have begun adding podcasts, which take some of the pressure off.

It helps to have altenatives, becasue my clients also expect I will write for them.

    • Lorraine, I go back and forth on writing posts in advance.

Sometimes I’ll have them written out a couple of weeks in advance. Sometimes, like this morning, I have no idea what I’m going to write about.

I do have 60+ posts in draft, but they are all somewhat technical, which means I can’t just bleed emotion onto the page and call it done. I have to actually check facts for accuracy. Very time consuming.

  7. I usually post on Friday but I actually pushed an article out Thursday this week. That’s because I had the sponsor fiasco and didn’t want that post to be on top too long!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed your day off.

Hey, if writing 90 minutes a day is a no-writing day, I can only imagine what your regular dosage is like!
Thanks for stopping by on my blog!
