WordPress is turning into a movement!

Which is pretty cool. People helping people.

I like your magazine analogy a lot. It won't work for every WordPress site, but it sure works well for yours, and it might be something I should consider doing here on Website In A Weekend.

The WordPress.com class I teach is only 4 hours, and I send students home with a customized, multi-page business website with a blog on the home page because that's how to get good Google page rank quickly and cheaply. If you look at my own business website (not the class website) you will see that I think of it as a magazine. Posts are articles. Pages are the things that are the same in every issue: the masthead is the contact page, About Us is the thumbnail bio of the columnists, etc. There's an article on why I teach WordPress.

One page content is a really good observation. Makes perfect sense, of course. One of those "blindingly obvious" facts that nobody sees until it's pointed out. Thanks!

The way I usually think of the difference between posts and pages is that a page is best for content that won't change much, and you want to be easily accessible by your users. Posts are good for content that is relevant for a short time, or is updated often.

So pretty much, what you said.

The other big distinction from a technical point of view is that you can only get the content of ONE page on any given webpage of your website, but you can get the content of MANY posts on any given webpage of your site.
