@Sean, with a little bit of cleverness, you can arrange that the teaser and SEO (i.e., meta) description are the same.

Or, you can make them a little different and try for more SEO luvin.

I'm going for readers over SEO.

(If you're wondering what just happened the rest of this comment where I explained part of how I'm getting 10,000 uniques according to compete.com, it's because it's solid advice that I'm going to put in the newsletter. It took about 6 months of data to establish... you can read about it in the newsletter.)

I'm a little confused on the technical side. Do you just use the teaser text and SEO Description for your subtitle?

FYI - I use FeedDemon for my RSS reader, it does not display teaser/subtitle text by default. Just my preference.

I think it's worth it for you, your site is still small and it will be a good habit.

The more good habits you form now, the easier it gets later.

Writing the article is about half the work.

Noticed that there was always a "description" based on my first paragraph, and I even noticed that all in one SEO had a description box. For some reason, I never bothered to just fill that in.
Do you think it's worth going back through all my old articles and adding new descriptions? They should update after about a month in the search engine I would assume.
