From a comment by Extreme John: “Wow Dave this was a nice surprise, THANK YOU!!”
Check out my reply:
Everyone else: I’m not just sucking up to Extreme John here to get that pink H2 out here to The Citay By The Bay. There’s so little truly unique content on the web, this was a no-brainer.
Here’s the deal: if you have unique, unusual content which tells a compelling story, I’ll write it up. Finding good stories is hard. John has several more stories begging for the telling. Do you?
Folks, put your stories out there. I know what you do, I can read it on your blog. Instead, tell me why it matters, or how it makes you feel.
Finding good stories is hard.
Anyone can write up the details on technology: “Foursquare this, Foursquare that.” What’s more interesting is watching how men and women actually behave on Foursquare.
At the moment, here’s a few stories I’m waiting to see developed:
- How a man and his wife grabbed up their kids and moved off the grid. Like, 4 miles past the end of the road. No water. No juice.
- How a man got his house torched and is now happier living in a yurt. The facts are all there… the story is all over the map. This can be excellent; I have really high hopes.
- Reconciling an Art Career and DayJob (watch for this soon).
- Selling wine subscriptions for fun and profit. What works, what doesn’t work.
- Why voice overs are the coolest thing since sliced bread.
- Why The Philippines matter and why you should care.
There’s more, but I think you get the point.
And you should now get why I keep returning to Extreme John to find grist for my blogging mill. He’s chock full of stories, and everytime I write one, it opens the door for another. This post is a perfect example.
Whoa whoa whoa… you want my story?
Fair enough. I’m dribbling out it in pieces. While I’m doing that, you start dribbling your story out in pieces, too.
If you need help, let me know. I can help you with titles, subtitles, teasers, and inciting incidents. All necessary elements of story telling.

I guess you make a good point with the content when it comes to the Pink H2, I think your on to something good with offering up some link juice for other bloggers out there with creative blogs.
I appreciate the link juice as always, thank you Dave.
