It's not a difficult question, he can find the answer here and probably 10,000 other web sites.

Or he can retain my services for $80/hr.

Why should anyone spend - for free- time answering questions people can answer themselves. Makes no sense.

If I understand your question, what you are asking about is how to do web development.

In short, yes.

More than that goes way out of scope for this blog.

Sorry I don't mean the code. If I download Thesis I take it my website changes into this theme? And I was just wondering if it's possible to make changes to the design privately (like when you preview a page on wordpress before publishing it) Thanks!

Al, your question almost doesn't make sense. Any changes you make to Thesis are going to be on the server side, not visible to clients who see only the output.

This is going to sound a little cold, but honestly, having someone try to steal your code is a pretty high quality problem.

Hi, when you make changes to Thesis is there a way to keep them private before revealing them on your website? I'm not going to download it if it means the whole world can see my site changing whenever I make a change. Thanks,

Yes and no. Depends on how new you are, what your goals are, how much dedication you have for the process.

If you're in it for the long term, probably.

If you have any technical skills, it's not that big of stretch to ramp up into Thesis.

If you have the budget for dedicated technical support (programming), I would *totally* recommend it, for a large number of reasons which I ought to write an article about.

On the other hand, if you are a total neophyte, I would recommend going with a wordpress.org approved theme, and run it more or less stock. The more you fiddle around with it, the harder it will be to port forward as WordPress evolves. As you get more comfortable, then invest in Thesis.

Also, Thesis is an investment. Important to see it that way.
