It’s the Website In A Weekend Week In Review!
This is the first of a series of occasional articles which will appear on Fridays to recap changes and additions to Website In A Weekend.
News
As hinted at in “How to Really Publish a Blog Post,” I’m working on an ebook which considerably expands on that article. It’s really shaping up nicely. You’re going to like it, and you will find it extremely useful, guaranteed. Expect to read more about the ebook soon.
Sundays have been declared “Article Free.” This policy may change to Saturday in the future, with a Sunday evening article to start the week. We’ll be testing both schedules.
Updated articles
After nearly two months of daily publication, article production pace will be slowing for the next several weeks. As noted, the second ebook is underway, and that’s taking some time.
- Added screenshot to “Unleash Wordpress: Create a Master Template Blog You Can Copy Anywhere, Anytime” at the recommendation of Larry Herrin.
- Cleaned up “How To Implement “Publish, then polish” For Fast Blog Posts.” Added the promised link to “How to Really Publish a Blog Post,” fixed some grammar and spelling problems, added a point about language and tone in the post-publication action list.
- Improved the title, added text supporting links and created a useful redirection for the WordPress favicon post. Here’s the redirection: http://website-in-a-weekend.net/wordpress-favicon. Note the URL after it resolves. This favicon article is being used as the primary example for the ebook, so more changes are likely on the way.
New articles
Very short week this week! As mentioned, work on ebook took precedent.
- When To Use Absolute — Instead Of Relative — CSS Positioning: Learn when to use absolute positioning for CSS elements instead of struggling with relative positioning. Three simple rules are all you need.
- How To Teach Yourself CSS For WordPress: Teaching yourself CSS skills for WordPress isn’t difficult when using the strategies and tactics discussed in this article.
That’s it for the second week of August!
